SUSTAINABILITY IN LOGISTICS OPERATIONS | Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The sustainable development of logistics and transportation is a growing concern globally. Driven by e-commerce and the Covid-19 pandemic, freight and cargo movements are an issue more relevant than ever. The public is getting higher awareness of sustainable resources and business development. Moreover, the new government regulations are forcing the industry to take action to build sustainable business operations. Stable and efficient freight logistics are significant to maintaining economic growth, environmental cleanness, and quality of life.

Supply Chain consists of several steps starting from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products to end users. Sustainable Logistics is using practices and procedures to ensure every stage is sustainable. Transportation is the second in the world for CO2 emissions. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the movements of goods and products have increased tremendously. Consequently, it raises the level of greenhouse gases by 1.9% annually. Considering all these factors, it became of utmost importance to develop methods and technologies.

United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to find solutions to global problems. One Touch Trade and Logistics are actively building operations supporting SDGs.
